A long running family-run business that has been active for over 40 years, this company is one of the largest food and produce supplier in the UK, with their products being distributed through 17 counties across the east of the country. They pride themselves on embodying their values of trust, integrity, respect, and innovation, believing that sticking to these principals have helped them create a past they can look back on and be proud of. And now as they look to further expand, they are seeking to an IT Manager to join their team.
As IT Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities and running of the IT team as well as mentoring junior members of the team and managing the IT Budget. You will also be expected to manage multiple 3rd party supplier relationships in addition to liaising with said 3rd parties to better improve the ICT service. In addition to your responsibilities as manager you will also take on a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd line support role.
Naturally as the head of such an organisation’s IT department, you will be expected to have at least 5 years’ experience in the IT sector and management roles, with in depth knowledge of systems such as current and previous versions of Windows, Office 365 and Azure as well as a firm understanding of network protocols. As you will be interacting with many people both within and outside the company excellent communication skills are a must, and with the vast number of duties the role will require you undertake excellent time management skills will also be a necessity.
