The role as a mathematics teacher will include ensuring all lessons are planned with clear aims and objectives so that all the lessons are delivered in with the departmental schemes of work and school policies. Taking into account the differing ability lessons of students and differentiate work accordingly. Making sure you know how to deal with inappropriate behaviour quickly and effectively. Markings are regularly marked with constructive feedback, record keeping of students progress so that you are aware of their progresses. Attending scheduled meetings in the Maths Department and school. To work with colleagues in the Maths Department to formulate plans which have coherence and relevance to the needs of the individual students and to the aims and objectives. To participate in Maths events such as trips and primary liaison.
The ideal candidate suitable for this role would need a minimum of an undergraduate degree that leads to a qualified status such as a bachelor of education. You will need GCSE’s or equivalent at grade A-C including maths, English, and science and two/three A-levels or equivalent for a degree And ideally would need a minimum of 2 years experience working in a classroom sector.
