THE ROLE; 

The role for a science teacher would be teaching tutorials, seminars and lesson planning. Demonstrating hands-on activities prior to assessments. Making sure assigned homework including topic reading and science projects are marked. Evaluating pupil’s performance by doing regular tests. Reports and lab activities. Attending staff meetings and parent teacher meetings so that everyone is in the loop of their children’s progress. To keep work areas tidy and organised to promote safety in the laboratory. To ensure that all experiments are trialled beforehand and risk assessment used with all experimental work. 

THE CANDIDATE; 

The ideal candidate for this role will need a bachelor’s degree in this subject. Complete a student teaching internship in a science classroom. Has strong subject knowledge (Edexcel IGCSE, AQA GCSE, Edexcel A Level course, is passionate about science and the learning experience pupils receive, is willing to participate in the science department programme of extension activities and also contribute to the wider aspect of school life. Lastly you would need a minimum of 2 years working in a classroom environment teaching science.
