Our client a Technology based POS business based in the Beaumont Leys area are currently looking to recruit a experienced assembler to join there expanding team.

We are looking for an Assembler, or a like minded self-skilled person, to connect parts into more complex components. You will ensure all parts fit correctly and are suitable for the final product. You will use your hands or light hand held machines to do the job with greater precision. Some electro mechanical work is involved, however no experience is necessary.

Full training and guidance is provided on site; for the right candidate with a similar background of work experience.

Ability to read instructions represented in manuals, drawings, and follow them with precision is extremely important and this is supported through on-going training.

Responsibilities

  • Read and follow procedures
  • Collect materials and equipment needed to begin the process
  • Take steps to ensure perfect fit of components
  • Align material and put together parts to build more complex parts and units
  • Check components and assembled items to ensure sound quality
  • Ensure workstation and tools are kept in order and maintained
  • Report issues, malfunction or defective parts

Requirements/preferred

  • Proven experience as an assembler
  • Ability to read drawings and instructions.
  • Experience in using tools (e.g. clamps) and machines (e.g. drill, drivers)
  • An understanding of quality control principles
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Good hand-eye coordination

The position is a based on a day shift Monday to Friday.

08:00 -17:15 – Monday to Thursday

08:00 – 13:00 – Friday
